LED-backlit display has a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels and, fortunately, is a non-glossy "anti-glare Finish. You can easily have two documents or a browser window open on the opposite side of the screen in this screen, and keep it great for angled hinges choice. Above the display, in the middle frame, is 2-megapixel HD camera and a series of LEDs with two built-in microphone.
The Vostro 3750 is powered by Intel dual-core processor Core i5 running at 2.3 GHz 2140m. You can opt for a less powerful 2.1GHz Intel Core i3-2130m, but currently there is an option for quad-core Core i7.
Our high level configuration with 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz upgradeable to 8 GB of RAM. Other less expensive configurations come with 3 GB and 2 GB installed. The chipset is Intel Mobile Express HM67 and the operating system is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
The graphics subsystem makes use of both CPU Intel Integrated Graphics HD 3000 with up to 384 MB shared video memory and NVIDIA GeForce GT 525 with 1GB of dedicated video memory. Thank you to Nvidia Optimus technology, the system will automatically switch to the integrated GPU and more powerful GPU based graphics heavy workload.
The hard drive on our test model was a pretty fast 500 GB Western Digital (WD5000BEKT-75KA9T0) rotating at 7200 rpm. Thirteen models use drives of 320 GB and 250 GB, but there's no SSD option for even faster performance.
For connectivity, the Vostro 3750 Gigabit Ethernet, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 + HS.
There is plenty of space for the locations of the port, so you get two USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports on the right side, with an optical drive and multiformat reader ExpressCard 34 mm. The left side features a combo connector USB-2.0/eSATA, an HDMI port, a pair of audio jacks and card reader for SD compatible media. At the rear is an Ethernet port (RJ-45), a VGA port, a slot for security cable and input power. AC adapter recharges the standard 6-cell 48Wh Li-ion battery is wonderfully thin and light.
