All-In-One PC desktop Lenovo IdeaCentre A320
The 21.5-inch screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1080p full HD resolution, white LED and sensitive function keys that make your desktop stand out in a crowd. In addition, just the included wireless keyboard and mouse contributes to the overall look and minimizes the damage.
Given the slim form factor of the monitor, Lenovo has all ports around the base perfectly. There are two USB 3.0 ports, audio in / out and a card reader on the left side of the base for easy access. On the back of the base, there is an Ethernet port, two USB ports, HDMI and FireWire and the power connector. Even with ultra-thin, Lenovo has successfully integrated more than the usual set of ports and connectivity options.
Just because it is thin, it does not cut corners with defective equipment. Our test unit came with a second generation of Intel Core i3 2.1 GHz, 3 GB DDR3 RAM, Intel HD 3000 graphics, 750GB storage and Windows 7 Home Premium. He scored an impressive 5.5 Windows Experience Index and run most applications, including hardware-intensive Photoshop and Lightroom them as easily. Because of Intel graphics, gaming performance is limited to older games like Half Life 2.
What really impresses is the screen. Delivers vivid colors with superb clarity through videos, games and text. The screen can be used as an independent monitor, as well as the side HDMI input. The sound of the speakers is disappointing in terms of volume. They are only good for private listening and although the sound clarity is excellent, bass is nonexistent.
Like most gadgets, this office all in one also has its share of oddities. The biggest problem was that we were facing the wireless keyboard had to be re-connected with every reboot. We had a word with Lenovo and they said they were working on a RF keyboard to get rid of this problem. Another minor problem is that the glossy white finish further emphasizes the impurities less staining.
Priced at just over Rs 50 000, the A320 is a desktop that is a class apart when it comes to combining research with features. For the price, you get not only a keyboard and a wireless mouse, but you also get an external DVD-RW and a remote control for use with the TV tuner.
If you are willing to ignore the glam factor, you get better hardware in the same price range with the Omni 200-5340 HP all-in-one desktop. It also comes with a 21.5-inch full HD screen. But the R-45000, that you spend, you get to 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB of RAM, 1 TB hard drive and an ATI HD 5570 graphics card with 1GB of RAM.
