Laptop pc Acer Aspire 5750G
Aspire 5750G weighs about 2.5 kg, and it feels much lighter than many other units 15.6IN we tested this year. Its build quality is fair, but there are plenty of flex in the lid and wrist rest when it is applied. The keyboard jumps a little, but he does not write hard. In fact, the full-size keys, good trip. We like to include a regulation, numeric keypad and directional buttons are easy to distinguish by touch.
The touchpad is 87x45mm and is smooth, but its sensitivity is sometimes poor. It was not easy to recognize the movement and many times we had to repeat a gesture or roller rocker before it is done correctly. A vertical line is cast on the right side of the pillow to support a single finger scrolling and it worked fine in our tests.
Around its edges, the Aspire 5750G has a standard set of features of a modern 15.6IN laptop, a DVD burner, an SD card slot, three USB ports (USB 3.0), Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, VGA, headphone and microphone ports. It also has a webcam and 802.11n Wi-Fi, but lacks Bluetooth. Its Wi-Fi adapter was not great in our tests, and only managed to connect to our wireless network at 54Mbps 802.11n.
Inside the Aspire has a second-generation Intel Core i5-2410M CPU, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD (5400rpm) and NVIDIA GeForce 520 graphics card. This configuration is well in our tests, the recording time of 44sec and 52sec in the Blender 3D using iTunes. It 'a file to convert DVD to Xvid files, 52min, which is a good result. Its 3DMark06 score 5323 is sufficient, but not as fast as the previous one we reviewed the Aspire 5742G, which uses the GeForce 420, and also recorded a respectable 6862, but was $ 200 more expensive, too.
The pc notebook Aspire 5750G is the Optimus NVIDIA graphics technology, which allows automatically switches between the discrete GeForce 520-adapter or a built-in Intel HD 3000 CPU - and it worked properly for once! Performance difference between Intel and Nvidia 3DMark06 is just over 50 percent and provides a little extra to play football. However, you should not buy a laptop thought to have a gaming machine, unless you are content to play at low resolution and detail levels. 3D shooter can not work without problems, even at low levels of detail, but it's a great game like WoW, Dirt2 (or Dirt3) and Starcraft2.
Although the advantage of a separate graphics card than the CPU to the graphics are not great, but it offers versatility. You can run a little graphic 'best when you use a laptop at home near a power outlet, and you can run the integrated graphics when using the laptop on the road. Our battery rundown test, where you turn off power management for Wi-Fi, to optimize the brightness of the cycle and Xvid-encoded video, lasted 3h 35min, which is slightly higher than the average 15,6 notebook CPU Core i5.
