desktop computer Apple iMac Mid-2011 review

iMac 2011 retains the form factor of the previous generation, with its brushed aluminum body and glass display alongside. At the rear, the Mini DisplayPort ports Thunderbolt replaced by two, but the new 27-inch iMac is otherwise identical in appearance to the 2010-version.

Sandy Bridge processor with a quad-core, this second generation of Intel Core-famous in the series, and an AMD Radeon 6970M graphics processor, high-end iMac was bound to impress. Upgrade Core i7 Hyper Threading gives, if all four cores of the processor to execute two threads at once, giving him eight virtual cores. This feature is not present on the chips used in the i5 area off-the-shelf. Accordingly, he scored poorly in our benchmark tests, running a Doom 3 fps 244.3 incredible.
IMac has long been one of the best screens of any all-in-one and nothing has changed in this generation. Both models sport a panel LED-backlit IPS 21.5-inch model offers a resolution of 1080 x 1920, while our tester 27-inch cranks it up to 2560 1440th. Apple also says that all the iMacs are individually calibrated at the factory, which is a nice touch, in especially on a consumer machine that can never be settled otherwise.

Like the MacBook Pro, iMac includes 720 hours of HD video camera face time. Apple says, the families and friends are often the group plays in front of the iMac, so that increases the camera's field of vision in two or three people comfortably fit in a shot once. This is a great bonus, and the accuracy is certainly more welcome when making calls, but the absolute lack of change still bothers me - if only the white balance and exposure compensation would go a long way .

Given our experience with systems based Sandy Bridge others it is not surprising that the new iMac shines in the performance department. The entire line is moved to the quad-core processors with the new AMD Radeon HD GPUs - the entry level $ 1,199 21.5-inch iMac has an i5 512 to 2.5 GHz with a GeForce 6750M, while our 27-inch test shows the configuration and high stock clocks in with a $ 1.999 i5 6790M GeForce 3.1GHz and 1GB. As you can see from the benchmarks, a machine is quite capable - we have never experienced anything more slowly as you work with him and we scored a rock solid 60fps in Portal 2 at 1680 x 1050 resolution.
