The A500 makes the suggested price of $ 449 and run the Android operating system Honeycomb 3.0. Lithium batteries can power eight hours of HD video playback or 10 hours of Internet surfing.

The tablet runs on an Nvidia Tegra 250 processor 1GHz dual-core processor and incorporates a GeForce graphics performance of a 10.1-inch screen 720p. The tablet PC acer iconia tab A500 also supports Flash 10.1. It has front and rear facing 5 - and 2-megapixel cameras.
There are 16 GB of flash storage and a microSD card slot that can take a 32 GB microSD card. later generations of the A500 will be upgraded to include 32 GB of integrated flash storage.

Internet connectivity is managed by Wi-Fi and integrated GPS with navigation applications included.
A500 weighs 1.69 pounds and is about half an inch thick.

The tablet comes with Google applications and software Zinio eReader book to read in color digital magazines.
