Canon has long and welcomed the entry into the digital SLR market. Its EOS 300D is the first digital SLR available for under £ 1000 and that the technology has advanced, their cameras aimed at this market are cheaper and more compact, while showing a typical image features.

In fact, the proposed features have been good in this unit's predecessor, the EOS 1000D, Canon has introduced three years ago as. It's all a long stay for any digital camera in Canon's line, the largest modify or revise earlier.

So why have we waited so long? Probably because the EOS 1000D is still a good value and remains very popular among those on a budget. That is, until very recently, as the range of features it offers are never very far from the model next in line for an acceptable price.
The recently announced Canon EOS 600D with its 18 megapixel CMOS swivel screen and a center for Full HD video recording, DIGIC 4 and 14-bit RAW output has obviously changed a bit. Without an update to its entry level offering, the difference in specification would be much higher, which makes the venerable EOS 1000D look positively dated.

Canon EOS 1100D : Features

Although it is similar in appearance and name of the paper almost every characteristic is a refurbished EOS 1100D. New 12-megapixel CMOS sensor ISO sensitivity range 100 to ISO 6400 proposes to increase the resolution and flexibility, allowing the larger prints are made, and pictures can be taken in low light conditions.
As for the picture quality is concerned it does not end here. This model also sports Canon's new DIGIC 4 image processor chip, which produces RAW files to 14 bit, and now also a movie mode, which has been sadly absent from the 1000D. 720p high-definition material can be stored in Canon 1100D for up to 30 frames per second, which is perfect for those who want to try the video with a digital SLR. Continuous shooting is also possible to three shots per second, which is fairly typical for a camera of this level.

Canon EOS 1100D : quality of construction and handling

Little has changed with the emergence of entry-level models from Canon  for some time, with changes in the current design with subtle enhancements rather than a complete overhaul. The design of the EOS 1100D is no exception. At first glance, you'd be forgiven for mistaking him for his predecessor, except the screen is larger.

In saying this, Canon has put much thought into the design and layout of the controls of this new model. The buttons on the back are wider and spaced very well that it would be impossible to operate the device with gloves. The menu system is very clear and easy to navigate, which shows only limited options in each of the automatic modes.

Canon EOS 1100D : Performance

AF with a 9-point autofocus is fast and precise, when the camera is very responsive feel when shooting the viewfinder, especially when compared with the EOS 1000D. Focusing on speed of Live View is also improved, although still might take a bit 'too long to be used effectively in a quick snap shots or moving subjects, it is also much longer lag time Live View shooting.

Almost all Canon EOS digital system now sports the last iFCL color measurement that works very well in a wide variety of conditions. The final exposure seems to be hardest hit by what falls under the point of active development, so you have to take, especially if it focuses on an issue primarily bright or dark. Dark Motives will result in overexposure of the scene, and the reverse is true for bright objects. Center-weighted and partial metering modes are also included, but spot metering is unfortunately absent.
