We live in a busy world and we are always looking for the fastest way of doing things. We barely have time to wait for our local fast food burgers, our brewing, our microwave popcorn to pop, so who has time to wait for a slow computer?

Except add more RAM to your computer, there are 6 steps to accelerate the performance of your computer. Most of these steps you will speed up your computer for free because they are programs already installed on your computer.

One of the first steps is to empty the Recycle Bin. It is easy to do. Simply place the cursor on the icon of the Recycle Bin on your desktop, right click and select "Empty Recycle Bin."

Then open your Internet Explorer go to Tools, Internet Options. Click "Delete Cookies" and then "Delete Files." In the window that appears, select the "Delete all offline content" and click OK. Once done, click OK to close the Internet Options window and close your Internet Explorer.
These two steps are quicker and simpler and that is why we have come out of the way first. Then we'll launch a disk cleanup. To do this, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Cleanup. Disk Cleanup function will now begin to calculate how much space you will be able to unlock. When finished, it will give you a list of files to delete. It should have already selected files, but you can browse the list and check all the files you want to delete and click OK.

Now is the time to do a disk defragmentation. This can be a lengthy process and should be set up at a time when there are other things that happen. For example, it has created, then go see your favorite, or go mow the lawn, or go to the unit. You get the idea. To begin, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Defragmenter. Click Search. If you're lucky, you have the "do not need to defragment this volume" the outputs of calls, but most likely, will need to click "Defragment." If so, click it, go to something else and come back in an hour or two.

Once done, it's time to scan for spyware. Most people do not realize how easy it is to be infected with spyware, is to conduct a periodic inspection is highly recommended. You can use any anti-spyware program you choose. You should know that no program gets rid of everything. To play it safe, you must run at least three different programs. You might be surprised by what they find. You may have spyware running on your computer without even knowing it. After the scan, spyware and all that is compatible, it is time that the last step.

This last step is to scan for viruses. I hope you have an anti-virus software installed on your computer. If not, we strongly recommend you get one as soon as possible. When the antivirus program is set to go ahead and use it. This may take about 20 minutes to a couple of hours, depending on how many photos you have on your hard drive so once again, puts it, and then go do something else. Come back in about an hour.

When all steps are completed. Restart your computer and you will be amazed at how he feels now complete agile. It's a good idea to follow these 6 steps at least once a week (a few steps you can even set up to happen automatically.) By doing this, you will keep your computer scene almost as it did when you bought it.
