Envy range of HP notebooks includes high-end manufacturer. Novelty with 17-inch model, the global leader launches into 3D.
High-end manufacturer, the HP ENVY 17-1117EF is positioned in front of the Macbook Pro from Apple. Thicker and heavier than its direct competitor, he is dressed in a brushed aluminum hull successful. HP is also introducing a sleek look and finish is in keeping. To mark its difference with the rest of the range, the Envy 17 features a keyboard with no shortcuts that we usually find on laptops from the manufacturer. Chiclet keyboard is nice for the seizure and a numeric keypad is even built. Remains at this price level, it is unfortunate that all sinks slightly when pressed on it frankly. The touchpad is large and fills his role perfectly. Other borrowing its competitor, the HP logo on the hood is backlit as is the keyboard. A good point for using his computer in the dark.
The total
The connectivity of the HP ENVY 17-1117EF is rich and distributed either side of the chassis. On the right edge are two ports USB , a multi format card reader and the Blu-ray can also burn DVDs. Note that this is a model in slot like the MacBook Pro from Apple, not a drawer as is usually the case on the PC. On the left, take up an extra port USB compatible with USB 3.0 and eSATA connector. They are accompanied by microphone and headphone plugs, and HDMI, VGA and Display Port not to mention an Ethernet port.
HP Envy 17-1117ef: heat stroke
The screen's Full HD Envy offers 17 minutes instead of warm colors and lack of fidelity. The default brightness is high but the keyboard shortcuts used to address them. The contrast is good all the blacks are deep. The party's Beats Audio partly offsets the lack of spectrum speakers. In all cases there is no substitute for real speakers or good headphones. In this regard, HP could offer a Beats By Dr. Dre as he did for the Envy 14.
Effective
We suspected from reading the data sheet and our battery of tests proves the Envy 17 HP offers performance to match its prices. The processor is suitable for all current uses and we will focus on the graphics. Firstly the graphics card is powerful enough to give away to their heart with the latest headlines, even at the native resolution of the screen. Better still, the HP ENVY 17-1117EF is the first notebook from HP to try 3D. It is interesting to note that the solution manufacturer Nvidia sulking in favor of its competitor AMD always. For fans, a pair of 3D glasses active is provided but they are rather large. Rest with a Blu-ray 3D effects are particularly convincing. However, the autonomy of the HP ENVY 17-1117EF  really disappoints.
